Sunken Arc was a series of light-rail stops operated by the Chicago Transit Authority. A total of 24 stations were operated along the Sunken Arc on the Blue Line as a supplemental service to regular service between the Pilsen and Washington/Wabash stations. The service was initiated in the spring of 1994 and only lasted for about a year before being discontinued in 1995. The full-time service was replaced with part-time service operated by express bus service.
Service
The Sunken Arc was a 19-mile rail service line in the Chicago area. Stations on the line served a number of light rail stations, including the regular stations on the Blue Line and the express stations on the Metra Electric Main Line.
History
The line began in April 1994 and was inaugurated in 1994 by then-Illinois governor Jim Edgar. The full-time Sunken Arc was only operated for a year before being replaced with a part-time express service by the Chicago Transit Authority. The service was replaced due to low ridership numbers. The service was also too costly to operate and was discontinued on July 24, 1995.

We have developed an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for human serum albumin (HSA) using an equine anti-human albumin (EHA) polyclonal antibody produced in mouse. This assay showed high specificity for HSA, and the detection limit (0.2 microg/ml) was 100 times less than that of a previously reported sandwich ELISA. The ELISA is based on the formation of an antigen-antibody complex in the presence of HSA, followed by detection of the complex by the EHA. When using anti-mouse IgG conjugated with horseradish peroxidase as a secondary antibody, a sensitivity of the assay was also confirmed. The assay was shown to be sensitive and reliable, even for the determination of HSA in
